 lowering a lem R3

I have a chance to pick up a real nice R3 but my kid still has one more year on his R2. I had him sit on the R3 and he's not even close. I had to get his seat lowerd for him to touch on the R2. My question is, Could I put his forks and shock on the r3 to lower it when he is ready to move up.

i would just ad the r3 upgrades if any to the r2 until he is a little taller. the only differences are the carb and maybe the pipe and silencer. i have a r3 for sale if you need another one

He still has a year in the jr class but this r3 is to nice to pass up. Its an 04 and looks brand new. Tomar clutch. Its nice and the price is great. Im gonna get it but no way my kid will touch on it after this year. He's kinda small for his age. I figure I can use parts from both bikes now and later.

Add R2 forks and keep the 12" wheel on it. You could also use an R2 rear shock. I did this for mine last year and still have the parts available.

I had Powerband lower our R3 about 1" each end.
I also have spacers for the bar mounts so that the forks
can be raised higher. Also the older seats are lower too.
Good Luck!
